A Masquerade in the Woods

So, as I wrote in my review, this game is very impressive. The feeling of mystery and horror are exceptionally done. It might even enter the collection of "For those holding a special place in my heart". However, I have a question: Can this FVN be considered an isekai or is it rather fantasy? To be honest it's been a while I read it. Hope you don't mind me asking.

I'm not gonna lie, this whole game interested me to my core. I had a boyfriend just like Eric: Nice at first, but showed his true colors over time. Miles is basically my dad, minus being called a fag. I crack jokes with my brother a lot about it, but he doesn't judge me. (I'm not gonna lie and say he doesn't tease me relentlessly about it. "When are you gonna bring someone new home?") And Mom and Dad get in on it too, occasionally.

Edit: After going through the whole story, and the life that Cody had, and the life that he has now, it raises more answers to my questions. I can say with confidence that this game did not disappoint me at all. Good job with this, and keep soldiering on.

Gotta say I didn’t expect that much from this VN, but now it’s definitely one of the best I’ve ever played since I’m really into horrors and darker stories. I usually don’t like when human characters are mentioned or appear in furry VNs but this one has actually turned the things upside down for me, it’s such an interesting idea of a human suddenly turning into an anthropomorphic animal and having to deal with it. After all, this concept seems really cool to me. Can’t wait for the next update!

This is dope! I really liked how realistic the writing is, the conversation between characters mostly. The plot got my reading for hours at once.. my eyes hurt right now but it's worth it lol

AMITW has definitely got to be one of my favourite VNs out there. Tackling the heavy and serious issues of ones own mental health and how it can impact everything as well as deconstructing the fantasies we have of being the vigilante who takes down the evil-doers, it does it well and in a realistic manner.

Cody's barely holding himself together through everything and the little part of "there's always the third option" is chillingly accurate. The story is incredibly compelling and I sincerely hope that you're able to keep things going and continue.

A Masquerade in the Woods is my favorite horror FVN as of 2022, with one of the best intros and premises, because the setting is honestly a bit scary, in case the horror from the beginning stays constant throughout the rest of the game. There's something unsettling about a bunch of random people hunting down another, evil group without any proper equipment. But very cool, kind of like or exactly like vigilantes. You did a great job with writing and score, they complement each other well. I love how everyone has a different (eye) color and mask. It really adds something unique to the experience. Although it's hard to say what is going on an and where the story is heading, I'm thrilled to find out what happens next. The characters are all pretty normal, except Shepard as father figure of sorts. But I appreciate how they already have a common past and actual personalities. It means there's already memories to talk about in future dialogues. Also, Riot, his fate seems very important. He's most likely dead or... converted. What the antagonists were talking about sounded seriously suspicious and even ominous, foreboding. For some reason I don't think he's been seen for the last time. Anyway, I'm curious about one thing. Isn't Cody more or less a blank slate, unless he can fully recall his past life of course. Because that would mean we, as the player, could give him our own name (It's not a big deal at all by the way).

Thank you very much for making this game! A Masquerade in the Woods deserves far more attention, so I hope people will take notice.

AMW so far one of the best scary kinda creepy to me because my sona looks almost identical and everything in my bio has happed here lol 
(thats what creeps me out) but I truly hope your having fun making this it was a blast to read so far keep up the good work!<3

Loving this game

Just powered through this.  I honestly didn't expect a lot going in, but wow!  The story is engaging, the characters are well written, and I honestly can't wait for the next part.

Holy crap, that was a trip! Played this for the first time and it's quickly become one of my favorite VN's out there. Can't wait for the next update!

Is there NSFW or sexual content in this VN?

I forgot to write this here: Usually any Ren'py game's Windows version can be emulated via JoiPlay on Android phones. So far there was no game that didn't work, including Japanese ones, but this time it's different. For some reason A Masquerade in the Woods is unplayable with JoiPlay, the Ren'py plugin simply closes. I'll try to get it working on our PC instead.

Criminally underrated, hope to see this VN get more attention later. It gets very tense at points, and makes me really want to know what's coming in the future.

Shepard's probably my favorite character so far. If there are character routes planned later, hoping we get to hang around him more.

This is really good. Deserves definitely more attention, and Lucas is just the cutest!!!

This visual novel needs more tags. That should be the only reason why so few know about it. I'm glad I saw the update, because apparantly it is in my collection, and will check it out in time. Good luck!
